Our Mission
The Backpack Academy is a math and science educational program. The agency formed in 2011 helping students ages 8-17 in Rainier Valley.
Our mission is to help students embrace a relationship with math and recognize that math is within their grasp.The assumption that math is challenging dissipates once students learn that math is malleable. At the Backpack Academy we strive to use math with our students as a dialogue and as a means to focus internal awareness that ultimately will lead to lasting connections.
